“New” York News!

Welcome
Rev. Brown
Mrs. Brown

The York Memorial church family are so thankful to have Reverend Avery Brown and his lovely wife Mrs. Brown to join our church family. To officially welcome the Browns to York, the Stewards, Stewardess, and York congregation held a joyful service in their honor. The Browns were presented with warm words, gifts, and light refreshments. We thank our God for sending us a man who is truly after God’s heart!

“Reverend and Mrs. Brown, WELCOME!”

When we refer to the faithfulness of God, we are referring to a love that is never failing. It’s God’s love for humankind that under girds His faithfulness. We may fall short in our faithfulness from time to time because circumstances may work against our intentions, but God’s faithfulness has no conditions or circumstances that hamper His faithfulness. Therefore the palmist can say with all confidence that, “the Lord is faithful to all his promises”. The writer was certain that any promises given by God in his word would come to pass. Certainty comes with experience!

Experience has revealed to us though that God’s promises come in God’s own time, we must learn to wait on God. The elders repeatedly reminded us, “He may not come when we want him to but he will be right on time”. Time has taught me that we must become people for promise. In other words, we must be prepared to receive the promise. God’s faithfulness then must be embraced by out trust, reliance, and dependence. When this happens we are able to truly “walk by faith and not by sight”.

Why is God worthy of our praise? Because He is faithful! There is no pain, problem or persecution that God will not deliver us from. There is no sickness, sadness, or sorrow that He cannot bring healing. There is no circumstance, controversy, or cross that He won’t offer comfort for.

God is faithful and don’t you forget to embrace it everyday of your life!                                                       by Rev. Avery Brown
