York’s Own Called Into the Ministry! On April 28th, 2007, Monique Hill Bynum delivered a spirit filled trial sermon at the Alpha & Omega Christian Center (Goldsboro, NC). She is the daughter of Sis. Mildred Anderson. She received her license from Apostle Frank Dawson. He acknowledged that she had met all of the requirements for this part of the ministry that God has called her into. She has a devoted husband and two daughters. Let us keep this family in our prayers. |

Honoring AME Zion Women! In observance of Women’s Month (March), the Board of Christian Education honored six great women of the AME Zion Church. The following women were presented to the congregation by the board members portraying each as a visitor: Dr. Mary Love– Editor of AME Zion Sunday Materials; Sis. Velma Leak– founder of Walk a Mile for a Second Mile; Sis. Victoria Richardson- founder of the Young Missionary Society; Sis. Marie Clinton– founder of the Buds of Promise; Sis. Georgia Thompson– wife of Bishop Thompson; and our very own member, Sis. Wardell Brown– served as President of the Washington District Missionary Society for 19 years. Honoring our Legacy! The presentation was humorous yet powerful and inspirational! Well done, Board of Christian Education!
